For organizations and volunteers
Adopt a county.Verify one fact at a time.
This site holds 130 training locations, 93 support services and 40 employers who train drivers. Every one of those facts decays. Phone numbers change, scholarships close, a page that named the schools a carrier hires from disappears in five days — that last one actually happened this week.
Tell us which countyThe work is small and finishable
Not a campaign. One fact, one source, one quotation, ten minutes. Anything you submit goes into a review queue and is published only once a person has checked it — the same rule that applies to our own scrapers and to us.
Confirm a phone number
Ring it. Does a human answer, and is it the right organization? Half the value of this site is a number that works.
Check a scholarship still exists
Open the page. Is the deadline in the past? Is the fund closed? A dead scholarship costs somebody an afternoon.
Verify an employer's quote
We publish the sentence where an employer says they hire without a license. Is it still on their page?
Add a service in your county
Childcare, transport, tools, work clothes — the things that decide whether somebody finishes training.
Who this suits
Reentry organizations, veteran services, immigrant-serving groups, tribal programs, food banks, libraries, WorkSource staff, and people who simply know their county. If you already sit across a desk from someone deciding whether they can afford training, you know things this dataset does not.
One thing we will not ask you to do
Anything touching money or eligibility is marked high-stakes and goes to staff, never to a volunteer. Telling someone they qualify for a grant they do not is worse than telling them nothing, so those decisions stay with people who can be held to them.
Where this stands today
Being straight with you, since we ask the same of everyone else: the review queue is built and working, and staff use it. It is not yet open for outside sign-in. Until it is, adopting a county means emailing a person who sends you a short list and files what you send back. That is slower and it is honest — we would rather do that than put a login on this page that nobody has used yet.
There is plenty to do meanwhile. 112 programs on the state eligible list publish no outcomes at all, and the gap between what a county has and what we know about it is usually a few phone calls wide.
Tell us which county
Email us the county you know and roughly how much time you have. We will send back a short list of specific things to check, each with the page it came from and the date we last saw it. No account, no commitment, no minimum.
